Perfect for young aspiring directors who want a chance to produce their own YouTube short film from scratch. Students learn everything from storyboarding to video editing in the intimate four student cohort through hands-on experiences. Producing amazing visuals whilst learning about cinematography, don’t miss the perfect opportunity to enhance video production from all angles!

Day 1 - Basics of Filmmaking Learning how to use a camcorder, boom and lavalier mic. Through the activity of Kidnapped Doctor, learn how the basics of screenwriting.

Day 2 - Shooting Outdoors Learn how to scout for the perfect location. Students shoot a majority of their footage today with the breathtaking backdrop of Shek O.

Day 3 - Shooting Interviews Students learn how to shoot from different angles, panning, zoom out, the wide shot, the extreme close up etc. Syncing voice with video through iMovie or FCPX.

Day 4 - Premiere The premiere of short films created throughout the week with friends and family!

Perfect for young emerging photographers who want to take photos to the next level and abandon auto mode on DSLR in an intimate four student cohort. Under the guidance of passionate educator and photographer Mo, students become masters of lighting, composition and Photoshop. Don’t miss this chance to create truly stunning photographs while going on our signature field trip to Shek O.

Day 1 - Fundamentals Students become familiar with contemporary photographers and learn the basics of composition, aperture, shutter speed and ISO.

Day 2 - Scavenger Hunt Students embark on a creative adventure in Shek O capturing the stunning landscape and wild creatures.

Day 3 - Studio Portraits Students learn how to shoot with a backdrop using professional lighting equipment and on manual mode.

Day 4 - Final Exhibition Students share their work with friends and family!

It’s a great place for a child to start their creative journey. Giving my daughter the first sparks of passion and creativity with photography!

During this time when school holidays are extended due to the coronavirus, Lifelong Labs is offering small-class Creative Camps with all safety precautions taken to ensure that our students can continue to be healthy and safe. Health and Safety Measures:

  • Studio and all materials are thoroughly disinfected before and after each workshop

  • Students and teachers are required to wear face masks, Lifelong Labs can provide masks if needed

  • Students are required declare travels within the past 14 days

  • Students need to verify that they do not have a fever

  • Students are given hand sanitiser upon entering our studio

MO KWOK

Mo is a practicing artist and experienced educator. She studied under world renowned artist Theaster Gates, celebrated photographer Richard Rinaldi and director Guy Maddin. Her work has been premiered at the Harvard Film Archive and exhibited at The Crossing Gallery, The MV World Odyssey, Le Corbusier’s Carpenter Centre and the Hong Kong Visual Art Centre.

B.A. UCLA · CERTIFIED IN ECO TOURISM

Tiffany is a seasoned environmental educator. She is committed to empowering people to see the beauty in our surroundings and the importance of taking concrete steps to protect our environment. Prior to joining Lifelong Labs, Tiffany served as an educator and community organiser in Peace Corps Rwanda.
