The Brooks moved from England to Hong Kong
Characters
Max Brooks 14yrs British boy, just moved from the countryside to the city and is entering a new school, enjoys the outdoors, bird watching, wildlife photography, rock climbing but isn’t ready for free hand bouldering, his favourite colour is grassy green. He likes wearing polo shirts, he never played golf or cricket. He enjoys reading fantasy novels. His favourite food is fried rice, which he first tasted in a Chinese restaurants he often bikes to.
Tony Cheung 12yrs son of the Chinese Restaurant owner, super smart not very athletic, and made his family very wealthy because the grandfather is a famous painter, he bought land to build the restaurant. It was his parents dream, he is very good at cooking.
Andy Brooks 8yrs, he enjoys building LEGOs, dislikes brussel sprouts, colour of the sky when it’s not covered by polluted cloud and by English fog. Andy doesn’t like biking but he isn’t as athletic as Max, Andy invented the Find My Friends app that was bought by Apple.
Joshua 19yrs cousin of Max. Studies English Literature, favourite book is the Odyssey. He is learning Greek.
Jennifer 20yrs girlfriend of Joshua, studies Law at Oxford.

Synopsis | Plot summary
Jennifer drives a Toyota Previa Purple 7-seater
Andy heard noises at midnight during the camping trip, thunder sounds but there was no rain in the sky, nobody else woke up. He was scared but he was very thirsty and he accidentally left his water bottle at the bottom of the tree stump.
He tried to find the same tree, and saw light and followed it. Suddenly the light disappeared. He stands in silence behind a tree. He realises he has no idea where he is, he runs around searching for the campground, and eventually gets so tired, he falls asleep under the canopy.
Max wakes up realising that Andy is not next to him and is nowhere to be found. Tony has woken up early to cook breakfast, “Have you seen Andy?” Max asks Tony.
Max and Jennifer go past the weather station and continue searching for Andy. Max drops a roll of film from his favourite camera,
Andy wakes up in the forest, he remembers that he got lost and now is in despair, he starts to cry. Then remembered the Find My Friends app. He tries to use it but there is no signal. He walks around and goes towards the weather station, he then finds the film that Max dropped. Andy realises that he hasn’t eaten for a very very long time. He finds a river and drops his hat. He contemplated whether to drink the river water because he is still very thirsty.
Tony and Joshua go down to the river, they see Andy’s hat floating in river and realise Andy must be upstream! They do a full loop of the forest and call their parents. Andy finds his … [to be continued]
